Program Assessment, Evaluation, and Technical Assistance
NIOST researchers can partner with program leaders and administrators to conduct research and evaluation activities that help programs and organizations (a) measure youth outcomes; (b) evaluate and strengthen program quality locally and statewide; (c) investigate youth program experiences; (d) document program impacts; and (e) support and strategize on delivery of high quality experiences for children and youth. We have worked for over 40 years with a broad group of afterschool, summer learning, enrichment, 21st Century Community Learning Center, youth sports, and summer camp programs.
We bring our own personal experiences working in all of these settings along with our organization's history of working with OST and youth development professionals and educators across the country to plan, advise, and implement change and program quality building interventions. Sometimes we engage with partners for several weeks and other times for several years. Work can result in action planning, strategic visioning, staff training, program or organization-wide evaluation, system-building, reports and summaries, implementation of self-assessment processes, development of customized tools, and change in program approaches and practices. Let us know how we can partner with you to elevate your work and create positive change for all children and youth and the adults who work with them.
