OST Workforce Survey Needs Your Voice

January 8, 2019

4 adults at tableNIOST researchers recently collected data through a workforce survey to better understand the experiences of out-of-school time (OST) workers and their careers. We will present preliminary findings at the Wellesley Centers for Women Lunchtime Seminar Series on February 28.

When NIOST was founded in 1978, the field we now know as Out-of-School Time (OST) did not exist.  In laying the groundwork for the field, NIOST conducted research, developed national standards, and trained staff to create high-quality OST program experiences for children and youth. As NIOST celebrates its 40th anniversary this year, the field is well established and has made great strides. Our efforts to strengthen and professionalize the field continue!

To help inform our work going forward, NIOST is interested in learning more about how OST professionals think about the work they do, their careers, their choices, and the OST field.

[Update: 1/25/2019: This survey is now closed.] Thank you for all that you do to serve children and youth...and for completing this survey!
